Iran Manganese Corp. was established and registered in 1993 under the name of Shahrokh Mangenez Mines. Afterwards, it renamed to Iran Manganese Corp., its headquarters moved from Tehran to Ghom, and was accepted in Iran Bourse in 2002. Owning 5 million tons of certain capacity and 3.5 million tons of probable capacity, Iran Manganese Corp is the largest manganese ore in the Middle East and is considered the biggest supplier of manganese ore demanded by Zobahan Isfahan (Mild steel). Also, Iran Manganese Corp. is ranked first among the manganese producers of Iran and Middle East by producing a minimum amount of 100000 tons per year.
Between 1997 and 2000, Iran Manganese Corp succeeded to obtain the top rank in the province and country. Iran Manganese Corp’s current plans are:
1- Hydraulic concrete filling system: to make the resource consumption more efficient, increasing the production level, achieving a higher safety level, performing technical and economic feasibility studies, installing Hydraulic Concrete Filling Systems and obtaining necessary permits have been brought into agenda, which will happen in 2016 through purchasing and installing the necessary equipment from domestic companies
2- Completing Pirouzi Well development plan: to maintain the production level and making the transportation possible in all levels of Pirouzi well by lifts. Completing the abovementioned plan (which commenced years before) was possible through purchasing and installing lift equipment from 240 to 340 meters.
